Facilities Technician (Controls)

Shift: 1st

 

Description of Essential Job Functions:

Perform maintenance, repair, calibration and troubleshooting of building automation systems and industrial control systems. Install and startup instrumentation using wiring diagrams, blue prints and installation manuals. Maintain and operate centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, steam and hot water boilers, pumps, air compressors, variable speed drivers, exhaust systems, vacuum systems, pneumatic and electric controls. Must be able to read blueprints and control drawings and use them to evaluate and troubleshoot systems. Must be proficient in the use of personal computers. Position will work on first shift. Position is required to be an active member of Emergency Response Team and be on-call on a rotational basis.

 

Essential Knowledge and Skills required:

At least 10 years experience in industrial controls and instrumentation work. At least 5 years experience using at least one of the following software systems to troubleshoot and tune control loops; Barber Coleman XPSI, Andover Continuum, or Allen Bradley RS Logix. Good working knowledge of facilities systems, including chillers, boilers, exhaust, compressed air, vacuum, and DI water.

 

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 100 lbs. Position serves a critical role, must be available for some overtime and will be on-call on a rotating basis.
