JOB DESCRIPTION


General/Building Engineer


Reports directly to Property Manager and Chief Engineer to maintain property appearance, comfortable atmosphere throughout building(s), and general functioning of property equipment and systems, applying expertise and knowledge toward the on-going property operation.  A professional appearance and attitude are essential as Maintenance Personnel are representatives of Colliers Turley Martin Tucker.  This is an hourly position subject to overtime and shift work.


Duties and Responsibilities:

? Provide world-class client support for Class A office buildings located in the Indianapolis area.  

? Perform repairs to restroom plumbing equipment.

? Maintain building lighting both interior and exterior. Ballast and bulb replacement.

? Assist with preventive and predictive maintenance tasks including filter changes, equipment grease application and cleaning. Perform daily walk through and inspections.

? Repair and or replace light switches, outlets and motors (10hp or less)

? Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work independently.  Effective organization and communication skills are required.

? As a representative of the management company, a neat appearance and professional attitude are essential.

? Company provided uniforms must be maintained in a clean and well-mended condition, and worn at all times while on duty.

? Maintain neat property appearance.  Duties will include general policing, landscaping, snow removal and clean-up.

? Perform tenant services at the direction of the Property Manager/Chief Engineer.

? Working Hours ? Schedules are subject to change at the discretion of the Property manager and or Chief Engineer.  Work week will consist of normal business hours with on-call requirements for 24-hour emergency calls. On call will be rotated at a frequency set by Property Manager and Chief Engineer.  When not on call, you will still be subject to call in for emergencies.
