The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Community Manager in all operations of the apartment community with the primary objectives of increasing the net operating income of the community, maintaining the physical asset, providing for a quality living environment for residents and establishing a positive, productive working relationship with the community staff. The Maintenance Technician performs these duties personally under direct supervision of a Service Manager. There are no supervisory responsibilities. 2-4 years of experience in facilities maintenance preferred.

The Maintenance Technician will perform general and/or specialized maintenance and repairs, apply proficient skills in several maintenance trade disciplines, which includes:


HVAC-troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, installation and repair


Carpentry, cabinet installation, installation of doors, other repairs of wooden structures


Plumbing -- Installing and repairing sinks, drains, tubs and toilets


Maintain or repair all mechnical and eletrical elements in our apartment homes.

Repair or replacement of all household appliances, plumbing & lighting fixtures.

 

Drywall repairs

 

Inspecting, cleaning and lubricating mechanical parts and equipment

 

Here are some things to consider --

 

HVAC Certification preferred.

Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds. Preemployment fitness testing will be conducted.

24-hour on-call responsibility on a rotating basis.

Must have a vaild drivers license and reside within 30 minutes commute to the property.
