(Hiring range is generally in the first quartile of the range.)

About the Position:

The Lead Custodian will guide, check, correct and work with a group of Custodians; provide

training in use of equipment, supplies, and accepted custodial techniques. In addition, the

Lead Custodian performs the full range of custodial work as needed, assists Custodians in the

performance of their duties, makes inspections; assists in the evaluation of subordinates?

performance; and may assist in facility arrangements for special events. Working Hours:

Sunday ? Thursday 10:30 p.m. ? 7:00 a.m.

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience:

Two years of increasing experience within the custodial area wherein the individual has shown

the potential for exercising supervision over others.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of materials, chemicals, methods, and equipment used in custodial work.

Knowledge of safety and sanitation measures appropriate for custodial work. Ability to lead

the work of others, including the ability to provide on-the-job training; ability to maintain

cooperative working relationships. Ability to analyze situations and take effective action.

Ability to read and write at a level appropriate to the duties of the position.

Must be able to successfully complete a defensive driver training program provided by the

State of California. Licenses, Certifications & Registrations: A valid California driver?s license is required at the time of hire.
