Maintenance Director

We currently have an opportunity for a  Maintenance Director at our Reservoir facility located in West Hartford, CT. Harborside Healthcare owns and operates 50+ facilities located throughout the Midwest, New England, Mid-Atlantic, Mid-America and Northeast regions of the United States. 

 

Job description:  Responsible for organizing, directing, performing, and supervising the maintenance program. The maintenance supervisor will establish and implement an effective preventive maintenance program for the facility. Will hire and/or discharge personnel necessary to complete standards set forth. Any maintenance personnel will be continuously evaluated for quality of work, so those standards can be met.

 

Qualifications:

? Must be a graduate of High School or the equivalent;

? Previous experience in maintenance is required;

? Demonstrate a genuine interest in the maintenance and preventive maintenance needs of the aged and chronically ill;

? Competence in maintenance and supervision;

? Ability to plan and adapt all policies and procedures relating to the Maintenance Department;

? Ability to plan and budget labor and supplies;

? Demonstrate integrity, imagination, initiative and self-improvement, showing appropriate manner and conduct;

? Will have knowledge and skills necessary for maintenance needs;

? Ability to provide harmonious relationships with other departments, to insure that maintenance needs are met.

? Ability to conduct orientation and in-service programs.

? Must have a valid state driver?s license.
