Maintenance Manager

Holcim (US) Inc., one of the nation?s largest manufacturers and distributors of cement and mineral components, has an immediate opening for a self-starting, results-oriented experienced Maintenance Manager at its plant in Birmingham, AL.  This individual is responsible for:

 

? Developing, sustaining and monitoring a comprehensive maintenance program.

? Leading in the development of the maintenance budget and ensuring it is managed to meet the plant?s goals of improved costs.

? Organizing, reviewing and planning maintenance department annual budget in line with the five year plan

? Directing the maintenance planning process

? Successfully planning and executing major shutdowns

? Ensuring effective condition-based predictive and preventive maintenance is carried out

? Supporting and facilitating continuous learning and improvements in order to set a high standard of maintenance.

? Ensuring equipment availability to meet plant objectives and production

? Maintaining the concept of safe plant through implementing all applicable safety procedures and proposing concept designs for safe access.

? Ensuring compliance to environmental, health and safety and quality programs and legislation and Corporate requirements

? Developing and preparing feasibility studies/reports for improvements in equipment and plant facilities

? Organizing training for maintenance and monitoring success of programs

? Providing technical input for the purchase of machinery, refractory, maintenance and other equipments.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor?s degree with discipline in Engineering.  The individual should have 5 - 10 heavy industry experience, preferably in cement plant as well as previous management experience.  Good negotiating skills, strong analytical skills, solid problem solving skills, ability to supervise others, strong technical skills, and supervision experience required.
