Maintenance Technician, Utility Worker & Gardener Positions

The Housing Authority of the County of Santa Clara, a progressive leader in affordable housing development, is currently seeking candidates for an exciting opportunity to join the Agency's Property Management Department as a Maintenance Technician, Utility Worker or a Gardener.


 

Brief descriptions as follows:

 

Maintenance Technician

Starting Salary: $37,964.00/annually

To perform a variety of skilled maintenance tasks in the maintenance of Authority buildings and housing units including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and heating and air conditioning repair; and to perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.  Two years of increasingly responsible skilled maintenance experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or heating, air conditioning and ventilation.  Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.  Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.  This position is covered under the Bargaining Union, Local 715. 

 

Utility Worker

Starting Salary: $33,554.00/annually

To perform a variety of cleaning and upkeep activities of Authority facilities and housing units; to perform minor facilities maintenance tasks and assists Maintenance Technicians and landscaping personnel in the performance of their duties.  Two years of custodial experience required.  Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade; formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.  This position is covered under the Bargaining Union, Local 715. 

 

Gardener

Starting Salary: $34,393.00/annually

To perform skilled ground maintenance duties involved in the planning, care, and maintenance of grounds surrounding Authority facilities and housing units; and to perform special projects as required.  Two years of grounds maintenance experience required.  This position is covered under the Bargaining Union, Local 715.
