Amcor PET Packaging North America, a worldwide leader in the plastic packaging industry, is currently seeking a qualified Material Systems Maintenance Technician for their North American Headquarters located in Fairfield, CA.
Material Systems Maintenance Technician
As the Material Systems Maintenance Technician you will ensure proper and safe operational conditions of the injection department?s material systems; perform repairs, mold changes, preventative maintenance, installations, line improvements, commissioning and testing of equipment and other special projects; and assist in updating, developing and improving the equipment PM program. Additionally you will keep accurate records of production change over sheets and all mold and related equipment sent and received; ship, store and transport molds in a proper manner to prevent damage; and have molds and all items necessary for changeovers prepared and ready for installation.
Requirements for this position include a demonstrated mechanical ability including knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumatics; an excellent safety record; the ability to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics; the ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds; and the willingness to pursue further education and training, especially in the areas of electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics.
