Program Manager, Facilities Budget and Capital Planning

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to establish and coordinate day-to-day activities of the facility life cycle, deferred maintenance and capital-planning program for one of our well established national clients. This position will be based in our new offices in downtown Seattle, WA.

 

Responsibilities will include:

 

Coordinate and oversees site surveys, condition assessments and data collection efforts conducted by vendors or internal facility management staff. Manage data and information from site surveys and assure the accuracy of information surveyed. Manage the information to be used for the purpose of prioritizing for capital budgets, prepare for proper funding levels and for capital planning purposes. Responsible for developing a program for the purpose of training co-workers on the Facility Life Cycle Planning Program and capital planning concepts and practices.  Provide excellent customer service to client and internal facility management staff by addressing their capital planning and reporting requirements.

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in either Facility Management, Business, Economics or related field and a minimum of four (4) to six (6) years of related experience in capital planning (managing a deferred maintenance program) or combined experience and education is required. Possess a thorough understanding of facility life cycle, building operations, facilities maintenance, operating costs/budgets and forecasting as it relates to capital planning. Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret various types business documents and effectively respond to complex inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, supervisor, and/or management. Ability to present information to an internal department and/or large group of employees. Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles and able to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages and discounts. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.  Computer proficiency using MSS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access). Some travel may be required.
