SALES MANAGER—SOUTHEAST REGION


 


 


Leading manufacturer of construction materials seeks an exceptional Sales Manager to take the reins in the Southeast quadrant.  The company makes products that are used primarily by the electrical distribution market.  This ISO Certified company is growing, and needs a strong and decisive Manager to lead the sales effort.  The company takes great pride in working closely with customers to deliver materials specific to the customer’s precise application.  If you have a strong record in Sales Management and meet the specific requirements listed below, please contact me!


 


As Sales Manager, you will drive sales in the Southeastern states.  Responsibilities/duties include:


- Assume leadership over a network of manufacturers’ reps, developing and managing the team through training and joint sales calls. 


- Assist the reps in the development of specifications for sales.


- Perform market research and develop new markets. 


- Cultivate relationships with customer accounts, including contractors, distributors, and other end-user companies. 


- Develop strategic annual sales goals.


- Provide regular reports to management as needed.


 


To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements:


- Bachelors Degree in a technical or Marketing field.


- 5 Years minimum experience in sales management.


- Track record of territory development, strong sales expertise.


- Experience successfully managing a network of independent sales representatives.


- Strong ability to sell in a technical arena and develop specifications as a standard part of the sales process.


- Must have existing relationships with specifying/standards engineers in the underground construction arena, especially utilities, but also engineering firms that specialize in commercial and municipal projects.


- Must have excellent ability to communicate in writing.


- Must live close to a major airport in the territory.


- Must be able to travel 50 – 60%.


 


Salary is competitive, depending on experience.  Position is bonus eligible.
