Senior Portfolio Planner

We are seeking a  Senior Portfolio Planner who will work with one of our well established national clients to help develop and oversee the implementation of strategic real estate solutions within a designated geographic portfolio. Manage space allocation and occupancy planning issues and ensure alignment with corporate real estate strategies and standards. This position will be based in Pleasanton, CA. 

 

The responsibility of this position is to supplement client's internal real estate delivery team and support customer relationship managers to effectively coordinate customer's business needs with real estate solutions that are in compliance with operating procedures, policies and administrative space standards. Coordinate resources, translate business unit operating requirements and corporate real estate strategies into effective, timely real estate solutions. Anticipate customer facility and space needs related to business operations, current and future, and develop innovative supporting real estate solutions, including portfolio realignment, other costs savings opportunities including occupancy planning and site dispositions.  Will collaborate with business unit relationship managers, strategic planners, project and transaction management team and Finance to ensure alignment with evolving business direction and real estate strategies. Will develop communication strategies, tracking and reporting methods and customer surveys and provide recommendations to implement change based on feedback.  Coordinate feasibility studies and due diligence activities by partnering with the Client's real estate and project management teams for execution of site assessments. Participate in the commissioning process of new facilities.

 

Positions Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in either Architecture, Interior/Environmental Design or related field preferred and previous experience in strategic real estate facility, occupancy planning and forecasting in a corporate setting is required. Must possess thorough knowledge of real estate portfolio planning as it relates to churn, occupancy efficiencies, space planning and cost savings strategies. Effective strategic negotiation skills and exceptional customer service skills are essential. Must be an active listener and possess excellent consulant skills.  Ability to influence, build credibility and confidence at all levels and within a matrix organization to achieve expected results are a must.  Requirements also include a general understanding of real estate transactions, finance and accounting concepts and the ability to define and prioritize options when presented with obstacles.  Ideal candidate will be highly motivated and perform effectively in a dynamic, fast paced work environment. Must be computer proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Project and PowerPoint). Position will require periodic travel to project locations.
