Service Technician

The Service Technician performs all general apartment and facilities maintenance under minimum supervision in a manner, which insures the preservation of optimum quality and efficient production.  Promotes positive work relationships with Company employees.

Contributes to the achievement of occupancy goals by effectively performing maintenance tasks, which promote a quality living experience for residents.  Contributes to the achievement of financial goals through high productivity and cost awareness, without compromising quality.  Assists in maintaining inventory and preparation of related paperwork.  Keeps storage facilities in an orderly, working condition.  Serves as a resource for management and assists in the development and communication of more efficient methods of maintaining the apartment community. 

Participates in after-hours and emergency coverage as assigned by the Service Manager.  Promotes positive, proactive resident relations by demonstrating  ?firm, fair, and consistent? treatment during all resident interactions.  Works to make the living experience, particularly the first and last impressions, of the highest quality.  Facilitates introduction of the resident to company apartment procedures.  Remains informed and aware of conditions that could have an impact on our ability to maintain a quality living environment for our residents.

Performs specific carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, HVAC, masonry, hazardous material abatement, and appliance repairs in accordance with company standards, and in conjunction with management staff.  Completes related paperwork and has good follow through.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in maintenance to include knowledge of plumbing, electrical and/or HVAC
Basic knowledge of tools and excellent sales and customer service skills required
Candidate must be computer literate and detail oriented with strong organization skills
Must have the ability to interact effectively with prospects, residents, peers, and management
Valid driver?s license and proof of current automobile insurance
Reliable transportation
English proficiency
Superior customer service skills
Ability to work weekends
