Space Planner

EMCOR Facilities Services, a division of EMCOR Group has an immediate need for a Space Planner in McGaw Park!  Candidate will be responsible for providing complete space planning solutions and leadership to customer owned and/or leased facilities.   Will perform a variety of tasks, including Tactical Planning. Managed by the Space Manager and executed by space planners, these tasks will include:


 


· Track space availability


· Moves Management


· Coordinate moves


· Move and space planning activities to minimize total impact on Users in terms of waiting time, duration and loss of service.


· Ensure Moves are accomplished “seamlessly??? and effectively from start to finish.


· Moves management is defined as coordinating the relocations of workspace occupants and their objects between and within various Cardinal Health buildings. Moves at Cardinal Health will include, but are not limited to, the following activities:


· Provide Moves Reporting


 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


 


§ Communication and management of building/campus related policies, e.g., rules and regulations; keep management and employees informed of unusual events. Act to ensure compliance with laws and regulations as it relates to space management.


§ Provide all space / property management services pertaining to buildings, systems, and grounds in accord with service level agreements and budget.


§ Responsible for space planning / CAFM activity and the scheduling of work and work crew.


§ Gathers and analyzes information to prepare reports on the progress of projects.


§ Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects.


 


Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree and 4 to 6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.  Commercial building experience preferred.  Must have strong finance and analytical abilities and good computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Maximo and Lotus applications.  CMMS and call center development experience required.  Must have multi-site/account experience, ability to identify best practices within industry and proven ability to apply across multi-site/account scope.  Must be able to travel, when needed.
