Divisional manufacturing point of contact for global suppliers of commodities as it relates to assisting and evaluating Strategic / Critical Suppliers for critical quality related issues.  Manages and evaluates the quality of Strategic / Critical Suppliers providing parts for  specific commodities. Management of a comprehensive global supplier consolidation Defects Per Million Opportunities (DPPM) report regarding root cause analysis, corrective action and continuous improvement plan as it applies to Strategic / Critical Suppliers quality issues.
 
1.  Analyzes and evaluates supplier performance based upon multiple metrics such as Supplier DPPM. Conducts assessments with a cross functional team for global Strategic / Critical suppliers to determine reason for poor performance, monitors corrective action and continuous improvement validations.
2.  Reviews, develops and implements supplier quality procedures and processes globally to analyze and evaluate supplier performance for continuous improvement.
3.  Partners with Supply Chain, Quality Engineers and Engineering Departments internationally to create and manage the timeline for new parts for new Strategic / Critical Suppliers to be integrated for approval. Assists, evaluates and monitors as required with the plant level quality assurance audits to make sure the new part is created to specifications. Escalates problems and issues back to the Strategic / Critical supplier as required.
4.  Works with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Design Engineers, Field Service, and Marketing / Product Team leaders internationally to investigate internal issues, warranty, and DPPM. Assists in evaluating root causes and determines corrective action for defective parts installed in the field as required. 
5.  Acts as single point of contact for divisional warranty dollar ($) recovery issues. Presents the warranty cost to the Strategic / Critical supplier and makes arrangements for reimbursement.
 
6.  Analyzes the plants roll-up DPPM reports to determine the divisional Strategic / Critical supplier issues or concerns such as consistent defect issues are apparent across plant /suppliers base or defects coming from specific supplier locations.
Performs other duties as required. 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field or equivalent experience required.  Minimum of 10 years manufacturing orientated experience related to product quality or reliability. Must be a Six Sigma Black Belt or certified Green Belt. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with strong problem solving capabilities.  Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Approximately 75% travel with a international travel required.
