Executes required work to complete installation and commissioning of assigned systems projects.
Provides technical service to systems sold and acts as the official representative in all meetings with the
customer. Responsible for the development of all field service technicians to keep current on new
systems and technology. Responsible for managing margin performance of assigned projects.

Assists in Pre-Bid Review process. Reviews and validates project estimate and documentation before
beginning work to verify and ensure the design can be met within the costs established for the project.
Works on multiple jobs and establishes the schedule for projects; coordinates with engineering, material
and service functions to verify that projects will be completed within the assigned time frame.
Communicates with customer representatives regarding the schedule and progress of project(s) to
maintain a close working relationship.
Maintains all documentation regarding projects including changes, additions, deletions, and as-builts.
Processes all change orders required. Completes documentation for all job site visits and ensures
technicians and subcontractors provide daily documentation for all work performed.
Performs system commissioning on systems sold by the branch including loading software programs and
conducts customer training on system operation and maintenance requirements.
Completes each project as required and meets or exceeds the established margin target. Plans,
budgets, reports and forecasts assigned projects.
Assists Operations Manager in monthly completion of Manpower Scheduling Report. Supervises the
activities of the field service technicians to optimize the utilization of available manpower. Assures on-time
delivery for all assigned projects.
Attends and successfully completes training classes and seminars offered by FIS Division of Siemens
Building Technologies, Inc. and other agencies in various cities within the United States.
Responsible for personnel activities of subordinates including completion of annual reviews, salary
adjustments and provide hiring and termination recommendations to management.
Coordinates the attendance of field service technicians at training classes and seminars to keep up to
date with the technology of systems sold by the branch.
Reviews and approves field service technicians expense reports, time sheets and daily reports.
Reviews customer satisfaction survey results and implements corrective actions and/or process
improvements required to increase the customer satisfaction index. Manages subcontractor activity on
assigned projects.
Assists in the collection of monies billed on assigned projects.
Implements and utilizes Engineering and Job Management Best Practices.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related field. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 3-5 years for
5-7 years experience in the design/ installation/ service of life safety systems.
5 years project management experience for Ops Team Leader II in
the life safety industry or in a comparable service/contracting oriented industry
NICET Certification Requirements. (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology)
Level II Fire Alarm Certification
Level III Fire Alarm Certification

Knowledgeable with PC, word processing, spreadsheet and project management software. Excellent
organizational skills and ability to multi-task and set priorities effectively.
State or local fire alarm planner or contractor license as required by local or state regulations, within 6
months of assuming position.
Self motivated and punctual, must set example for subordinates.
