Technical Product Support Specialist

We are seeking experienced Carpentry, Machining and Metalworking /Welding professionals to join our Technical Product Support Center team as a Technical Product Support Specialist in our Lincolnshire call center. The successful candidate will be experienced in the application & maintenance of hand tools, machine tools, welding equipment, abrasives, lubricants and test equipment.

Major Responsibilities: *Provide world-class technical support and troubleshooting for Power Tools and Metalwork products over the phone

*Will use industry related knowledge and expertise to support the products that Grainger sells

*Provide feedback about Grainger products to product teams, suppliers and field personnel

*Develop and train field personnel on technical product knowledge so they may successfully resolve technical problems for the customer

*Function as part a team using excellent communication and customer service skills

Requirements:
* Must have a minimum of 7+ years hands-on responsibilities in an unsupervised Metalwork/Welding/Carpentry/Machining capacity in installation/service/troubleshooting with significant direct customer interface.

*Ideal candidates will work well with minimal supervision

*Proven customer service skills with the ability to maintain strong external and internal customer relationships

*Ability to work Monday-Friday, from 9:00am - 7:00pm

*High School diploma or GED equivalency

*Proficient in basic computer skills to include knowledge of Windows, Internet and email

*Must be able to effectively communicate with customers over the phone
