Administrative Program Specialist (NIH)

 

Immedidate opening for Program Specialist to support NIH Grants Management Program. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Maintains the chart of offices.Works with staff to ensure that new employees have a computer and that computer is set up.Ensure that new employees have access to all computer programs.Set up voicemail boxes and obtain voicemail password for new staff and those that are changing offices; changes and reassigns phone lines as necessary.Ensure that computers are moved and set up for employees whoa re changing offices.Maintains information for telework laptop, keyboards and docking stations.Ensure that property passes for telework are kept up to date.Interacts with staff to create e-mail groups as necessary.Acts as quality control person. Drafts correspondence to address any administrative or management issue.

 

Skills and Abilities

 

?  Ability to plan, manage, and coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.

?  Ability to work independently in planning, organizing, and conducting work assignments.

?  Knowledge of administrative processes, policies and procedure.

?  Mastery of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook and Internet systems.

?  Works effectively as part of a team.

?  Superior ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.

?  Ability to meet tight deadlines.

?  BS/BA degree
