Application Production Support

In Morristown NJ, One year ++

Contract position for our direct client

 

This is not a senior position

 

 

The primary job responsibilities of this position require the production support and troubleshooting of the Document Imaging System (DIS) which is PC based. Responsibilities include: Remote troubleshooting of connectivity issues between the application and imagers. Test new imagers. Test new updates of the application.  Develop and maintain technical test scripts.  Assist with maintaining installation guides. Assist with maintaining on-line FAQ list. This position may extend into future to include support and development of the UPS Data Capture application.  All candidates submitted must have good analytical skills, good oral and written communication skills, ability to navigate Windows, and utilize Microsoft Office tools, ability to work with little supervision, Mainframe skills would be a plus. For the development responsibilities, all candidates must have approx. 3 years of full development lifecycle experience in c and C++.

 

 

 

The troubleshooting and application production support is the primary job responsibility. Once the person has the support piece down, the client wants to extend the position to a general rotation within his production staff. (NOT shift rotation). Those folks have C++ development skills so a couple of years of C++ development skills is wanted. The candidate will perform testing on the applications, problem determination,connectivity issues on workstations, etc.

 

 

(Java experience and AS/400 interface experience is a PLUS)
