We are currently searching for an experienced Applications Engineer Stf to support one of our clients. This opportunity is permanent, full-time, and on site in Fairfax, VA.
Position Description:
Gathers information concerning the capabilities of company products; investigates the technical capabilities of company products and competing equipment; stays abreast of developments in hardware and software; analyzes customer problems; assists in designing systems to satisfy customer needs. Prepares equipment analysis to instruct sales force and customers in equipment capabilities. May prepare and present sales proposals.
Required Skills:
Extensive COTS integration experience. Experience designing, configuring, integrating and testing implementations of the following specific COTS products: - IBM Websphere Portal - IBM Websphere Enterprise Service Bus Knowledge of and experience with Service Oriented Architectures(SOA) using an Enterprise Service Bus. Able to apply successful architecture and design techniques within the SOA paradigm. Familiar with industry standards (W3C, Web Services, OASIS). Successful experience in system requirements analysis, definition, allocation, and documentation. Ability to ensure requirements meet the clients need and that implemented systems successfully address the requirements. Case management and/or knowledge management in a law enforcement, intelligence, or DoD domain. Experience working effectively in a CMMI level 3/4 engineering environment Effective presentation and customer interaction skills. Desired Skills - SOA Integration, Systems Architect, DODAF or FEAF.

Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered an emerging authority.
