Arts and Culture Product Manager

 

Public Interactive (PI), a subsidiary of Public Radio International, is public broadcasting's leading integrated application service provider, creating Web tools for 150 affiliates that collectively operate over 300 public radio and television stations nationwide.

 

The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree and a minimum of 4-5 years of internet, editorial or related experience in the following areas:

 Knowledge of various Internet technologies, email clients, HTML, and web development/production cycle, Microsoft Office Suite. Project Management Skills - Set initial expectations and follow through according to plan for successful product release; adjusts expectations accordingly. Attention to detail and time management. Customer Service Skills - Develops and maintains client, producer and vendor relationships. Arts-related publishing or software experience helpful, but not required. Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and software. Ability to operate effectively in a challenging, rapidly changing environment. Gather and specify requirements for version upgrades and future software products. Write detailed product specifications for the development group to use as a blueprint for product enhancement. Train clients on use of software and provide ongoing customer support in a friendly, efficient and timely manner, escalating issues when appropriate. Monitor our tech support help system daily for any product related issues and questions.

 

This position also requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills. This is a Boston-based position.
