Steve & Barry?s University Sportswear is completely re-writing the rules of retail. Founded in 1985, we?re a fast-growing casual apparel retailer with more than 100 stores in 30 states. Steve & Barry?s seeks only the most highly-qualified and talented candidates to join its efforts to become the nation?s preeminent retailer. Currently, we have an opening at our Port Washington (Long Island, NY) headquarters for a qualified Report Developer.

 

Qualifications:

 





?  Business Analyst with a retail and report development experience.

?  A SQL background required.

?  Must have a solid understanding of the retail business, retail data, and calculations.

?  Must be able to identify requirements from key people in the business.

?  Crystal Reporting experience beneficial.

?  Experience with Impromptu and/or ReportNet;

?  Knowledge of Cognos a plus

?  Familiarity with financial and operational reporting requirements in a retail environment preferred

?  Ability to create automated reports drawing data from Oracle and/or SQL databases, including development of queries and stored procedures

?  Highly motivated; analytical; self starter

?  Strong problem solver and outside-the-box thinker

?  Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in clarifying business needs for technologists and technology matters for senior business managers

?  Strong team player

?  Bachelor?s degree; minimum three years relevant experience

Responsibilities:

 

-  Create new, and modify/troubleshoot/update/convert existing, management and operational reports in a retail environment

-  Assist in implementation and training for self-service (user-created and -maintained) reporting

-  Analyze, recommend and implement measures to improve data accuracy/integrity
