Business Analyst - Fixed Income

Basic Purpose:



Works with Project Managers and end users on IT related projects. Recent examples include implementations or upgrades of investment management systems (Charles River and proprietary), creation or enhancements of Bloomberg-based fixed income analytic systems, creation of data vendor repositories for ABS and MBS data, or custom enhancements to proprietary portfolio management tools. This individual is expected to facilitate project meetings to discuss end user requirements, project status, project issues, test planning and issues, training, and/or deployment needs under the direction of the Project Manager. This individual will write business requirements/ functional specification documents, test plans, training and deployment plans in support of projects. This person will act as a liaison between non-technical end users and developers. The individual must be highly motivated to achieve client satisfaction and must also be able to work both independently and in a team environment under time pressures. Project management responsibilities may also be assigned as required.



Primary Responsibilities:

Work with end users to collect and document business requirements and functional specifications
Perform workflow analysis and development
Develop and execute test plans and procedures
Work with development group to ensure that all design questions (e.g., application security, data feeds, etc.) are addressed through the business analysis process
Support project tracking and monitoring Manage low complexity projects
Serve as subject matter, process, and/or operational proxy for end users in area of focus
Comply with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements
