CAD Administrator

Key Job Responsibilities

 

Provide CAD expertise and support to Hunter Douglas Window Fashions Division and other manufacturing groups and act as a liaison between business and IT CAD support groups.  Help migrate CAD drawings and models from IDEAS, Solidworks, and Autocad to UGS NX and NX Datamanager and help guide, train, and teach engineers/users to be efficient and self-sufficient using UGS NX CAD tools.  Help plan for and implement UGS Teamcenter for document control and other functions.  Communicate activities and issues on a regular basis to users, team members, and management.  Collaborate with multiple departments and systems to help determine the right Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution for Hunter Douglas that includes document management, revision control, change management, document viewing, BOM creation, and other functions.

 

Maintain client confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential, ensuring that no disruptions occur to computer operations or to the data network.  Maintain technical skills through training, self-study efforts, Hunter Douglas University, and workshops.  Some travel (10%-15%) may be required.  Some off-hours work will be required, particularly for system implementation and maintenance.

 

Key Job Qualifications

 

Self-starter, team member, leader, good verbal and written communication skills, strong CAD background.  Minimum four to five years experience with CAD design systems.

 

Requirements (Work Experience/Education/Skills)

 

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.  Experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), CAD, and SAP preferred.  Working knowledge of UGS NX Manager and Teamcenter.
