CAD Technician / Methods Analyst III

KIRA has recently been awarded the Base Operations and Support contract at Fort Carson, Colorado and we are seeking a CAD Technician/Methods Analyst III.

Key responsibilities of the position are as follows:

?

Using computer aided drafting software, prepares complete sets of complex drawings of construction projects, including various views, sectional profiles, and small or intricate details.? Works from sketches, models, and verbal information supplied by the designer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.? Independently resolves most of the problems encountered.? Familiar or recurring work is assigned in general terms.? Simple revisions to existing?drawings may be assigned with a verbal explanation of the desired results.

Typical assignments include:

Updates master planning site layout drawings for newly added facility and utility construction.

Updates construction as-built drawings as facility/infrastructure/utility systems are modified.

Prepares copies of site layout maps for various customers.

Assists the project manager in technical quantification of construction project data to include cross-sections, lad profiles, cut/fill volumes, and other topographical details as necessary to make engineering decisions.

Prepares construction site sketches applicable for developing material takeoffs, or for project cost estimating by contract or governmental personnel.

Assists with preparation of technical charts/graphs for project site job status.

Requires: Minimum 2 year degree.
