JOB SCOPE

 
TECHNICAL SCOPE
? Provides support for activities relating to faculty assignments and curriculum. 
? Assists in compiling and reviewing all content received from faculty
? Follows Blackboard Conversion and Correction procedures for content placement and updates
? Assists in answering curriculum related questions and corresponding to faculty via email, fax and phone
? Explores emerging technology and new resources for adding content while designing courses in the learning and content management systems 
? Is responsible for motivating faculty to utilize subject-related technology and various resources to enhance curriculum and providing more value to the course materials 
? Follows Curriculum Electronic Release procedures in updating Blackboard as well as backup and maintenance procedures 

SPECIAL PROJECTS SCOPE
? Provides support for activities relating to faculty assignments and curriculum.

? Follows Blackboard Conversion and Correction procedures for content placement and updates
? Assists in answering curriculum related questions and corresponding to faculty via email, fax and phone
? Explores emerging technology and new resources for adding content while designing courses in the learning and content management systems 
?  Is responsible for motivating faculty to utilize subject-related technology and various resources to enhance curriculum and providing more value to the course materials 
?  Uses artistic abilities and creativity to incorporate RoboDemo and other technical enhancements to curriculum, including but not limited to simulations, video streaming, and audio capabilities



 JOB DUTIES


TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Updates all necessary screens in the computer system to ensure uniformity throughout all physical and computer records.

2. Reviews and proof reads all incoming curriculum-related components announcements, course descriptions, text descriptions, course outlines, assessments, learning objects, practice exams, final exams, faculty lectures, supplemental reading material, research data, and course-specific FAQs

3. Provides technical support to students regarding Blackboard related issues; facilitates troubleshooting and resolution process with Blackboard technical support where necessary.

4. Assists with maintaining accuracy of course descriptions for catalog reproduction.

5. Assists faculty with Faculty Services On-Line (website) or exam preparation inquiries.

6. Provides support with curriculum review tasks as needed.

7. Contributes articles to the monthly Faculty Newsletter.

8.  Provides assistance to Sr. Faculty & Curriculum Manager on special projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


 



? Four-year college degree

? Minimum of three years of experience in a business environment

? Knowledge of personal computers is essential (Blackboard experience preferred)

? Detail-oriented with professional communication skills and the ability to prioritize

? Ability to demonstrate proficiency with the following computer tools and products:

  NT 4.0 or Windows 95, HTML, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer and desktop publishing and graphics software.
