MWH, headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado is seeking qualified applicants for a Data Center Supervisor in our Chicago, Illinois office.

Decription:
Day-to-day supervision of Chicago Datacenter.
Implement and support infrastructure systems in assigned geographic locations/regions and participate in global initiatives/efforts to ensure operations and maintenance are aligned with company's business needs.

Ensure datacenter environment is properly maintained and documented (including BCP/DR plans for all key services and systems).
Provide input into the operational standards and processes for other datacenters.
Provide ongoing support of global network services and equipment including installation, analyzing, researching and resolving issues and problems, and monitoring availability and performance
Assist with/contribute to network configuration management, service continuity management, managing firewalls and security management
Operate, maintain and document Windows 2000/2003 domain, ensuring clients' business needs are met, compliance with company policies is maintained, and industry best practices are followed.
Monitor, support and coordinate backup, restoration and archiving of data on storage appliances and servers, ensuring compliance with backup schedules and maintaining and updating documentation of processes involved.
Procure, build, and install server systems and conduct quality assurance tests/inspections of servers built by peers.
Research and resolve issues related to user access to ensure reliable system resources are available to customers.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to IT support staff to clarify and resolve problems.
May provide backup support to peers responsible for services, systems and networks in other locations.
May participate in testing and evaluating new and emerging technologies (e.g., servers, network operating systems and applications) that may be applicable to company's business requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Strong understanding of server, storage and network infrastructure technologies and services, which may include:
Microsoft server operating systems (2000, 2003)
Active Directory 2003
System applications (Backup/Restore, Symantec Antivirus)
Virtualization (VMWare)
Cisco - IOS / PIX / VPN / Routing (BGP/EIGRP)
Network Appliance SAN

Good understanding of:
Database applications
System management tools
Internet operations
IBM iSeries (desirable)
Load balancing and WAN acceleration technology (desirable)
Basic understanding of HVAC and Power/UPS systems.
Basic knowledge of project management methodology/packages
Basis knowledge of IT Service Management methodologies and processes
