Data Operations Associate - 13109
Join Moody?s KMV, the world?s leading provider of market-based quantitative credit risk products for credit risk investors. Moody?s KMV?s products are widely used around the globe by credit risk investors, including global and regional banking institutions, buy/sell side organizations and corporations, to assess the risk and return characteristics of portfolios of corporate bonds, commercial and industrial loans, and credit derivatives.
Position: Data Operations Associate
Location: South Bend Indiana
Primary Responsibilities: Run the daily and monthly data processing and calculations that feeds our credit risk measurement and management products. Identify research and resolve issues involving financial data errors during our daily and monthly data processing and calculations. Provide internal support to Moody's KMV staff regarding daily and monthly data processing and calculations. Work with other teams such as IT, support, and application development to resolve any data processing or client issues. Provide constructive feedback and assistance to management and IT, support, and application development teams on existing and new data processing systems and products. Work schedule requires weekly 3-day evening shifts (1pm-10pm) and once a month weekend shifts (Sat-Sun).
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have a degree in Information Technology or Operations Management/Engineering with exposure to finance and economics. Or Candidates should have 2 years of work experience with data management and operations. Proficient in SQL (Sybase, Microsoft SQL server, SAS). Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel. Proficient in DOS command scripts.Exposure to Java, C++ or Visual Basic. Proficiency in the listed programming languages is a plus.Detail-oriented and ability to immediately apply what is learned. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Experience documenting SOPs is a plus.Superb analytical skills and persistence in problem solving. Familiarity with equity and fixed-income markets is a plus. Ability to correctly read and interpret financial statements is a plus.
