The core responsibily of the Database Administrator A is to support the organization in all aspects of ORACLE database administration and maintenance while ensuring maximum focus on operational efficiencies and customer support. Will also provide leadership, vision and direction for the database team, ensuring support of our business goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the installation, conficuration, maintenance and tuning of the ORACLE environment
- Develop and maintain backup/recovery plan, standards, policies, guidelines and operational documentation
- Assist development and integration teams with DB design and performance tuning opportunities

REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years in ORACLE database administration
- College Degree
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Self motivated
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Leadership skills and a service focus mentality
- Advanced skill level in AIX, ORACLE ' version 9I/10G and Windows SQL Server
- User skill level of Microsoft Office suite
- Microsoft SQL Server experience would be a plus. This job could make use of theis experience in support of our current SQL
