Client in New York is actively seeking a Senior Engineer/Designer of electronically-controlled optical amplifiers and related commercial optical gear in order to meet challenging requirements and cost targets. Qualified candidates MUST have a MS in optical/electronic engineering or related field and at least 3 years in optical design and related experience. As an Optical Designer you will be working in conjunction with mechanical, electronics, and software designers, test engineers, and technicians, Analyzing and responding to customer and marketing requirements, and supporting manufacturing in improving processes and overall throughput. Understanding control systems is a big plus. Client offers relocation as well as excellent benefits package.
