End User Support Technician

Position summary
You will provide internal technical leadership and service for client workstation issues and projects. Offers resolutions and options to known technical challenges by performing first, second and third level troubleshooting to gain the best possible outcome for the customer. This position is also responsible for keeping abreast of emerging technologies and providing proactive options on how it can be used to improve efficiency and productivity throughout our company.

Essential duties and responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
? Proven ability to successfully perform various levels of technical troubleshooting and problem resolution for client hardware and software. Experience required in advanced troubleshooting of network, server, telephony, and audio-visual equipment and devices.
? Travel to off-site locations domestic and foreign to configure and troubleshoot computer equipment.
? Utilizes technical knowledge to assist with the creation and maintenance of technical processes and standards for client hardware and software usage. Demonstrate initiative to identify and be open to diverse methodologies for applying technical practices and standards in a business environment that is constantly changing and evolving.
? Assist in documenting technical processes and procedures.
? Proven ability to develop positive and prosperous relationships with customers, vendors, affiliates and fellow team members. Demonstrate ability to maintain a reputation that reflects quality customer service on a continued basis. Maintains open and continual communication with customers on requests and problem status.
? Serve on company wide projects and initiatives that require technical expertise and participation to include researching, evaluating, implementing and providing advanced solutions of client hardware and software.
? Develop and implement methods for automating repetitive installations, processes and tasks.
? Proven ability to multi-task the daily demands with longer-term projects.
? Experience using a call tracking system to receive, monitor and document daily responsibilities.
? Provides updates, status, and completion information to management in an effort to maintain continual and open communication of activities and tasks using agreed upon methods.
? While traveling, may be called on to provide personal assistance services.
? 24x7 on-call support. Provide Executive IT support on a rotational basis.

Knowledge, experience, skill, and/or ability

Required
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Excellent customer service skills
? Strong understanding of computer hardware
? Strong understanding of AV equipment
? Strong understanding of computer software and interaction with Operating System i.e., Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP Professional.
? Must be familiar with laptop computers and have the ability to support remote users.

Preferred
? MCSE
? A+ Certification
? VB scripting

Required computer skills
MS Office, MS Project, Access, Visio, Publisher, Adobe Acrobat, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Active Directory Administration and NTFS Permissions.

Education/experience/certifications
Associate?s degree (A.A.) and 7+ years? relevant experience. OR, equivalent years? work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special remarks regarding work environment,

Approximately 40% annual travel, may be extended period of time including Holiday?s
? On-call support for the Helpdesk 24x7 model. Provides actual support on a rotational schedule.
? A valid driver?s license and passport are required.
? The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to move up to 25 pounds.
