Entry Level Web Developer

Interpublic is a global marketing communications and marketing services company with over 42,000 employees worldwide.  Global Information Services (GIS), a division of Interpublic Group of Companies, is expanding our technology team.  GIS is embarking on a multi-year plan to integrate information technology services within the Interpublic Group of Companies.  GIS is a technology driven company supporting some of the most creative minds in advertising and media.  We are looking for an Entry Level Front End Web Developer to join our GIS team in Cambridge, MA. 

 

 

Purpose and Key Responsibilities of the position:

 

Role: Web Developer-I

 

Job Description:

Be part of a small group responsible to producing the font-end interfaces for portal sites and extranets.  Design and implement SharePoint templates including graphic file generation, SharePoint configuration, scripting and XML file modifications. 

 

Required Skills:1 years of web Front-end development experienceSome experience with HTML; Photoshop, Javascript; Flash; StylesheetsSome light visual design ability




Job Responsibilities:Ability to work on deadline, manage time responsiblyAbility to work efficiently with manager to work out technical issues and keep projects moving forwardPart of a team that will be producing Web sites in Sharepoint for internal use and for use with clients

This position has a contributory impact on the development of a company-wide intranet that facilitates the processes of collaboration across not only functional and client teams, but operating companies with the IPG network.

 

 

Contacts:

 

This position reports directly to the Web Development Manager and may interface with all levels of employees across the company.  This position will also work closely with the web development team from McCann Worldgroup in a collaborative development effort.

 

 

 

Education and Experience Required:

This position requires  (level of education and years experience in this work or similar work)  Bachelors in Computer Science/Information Systems or related degree0-2 years of relevant work experience.
