Field Network Engineer

We?re looking for a network / field engineer to provide high level support and consulting to our clients.  You?ll be experienced and enjoy working with company senior executives and have experience providing and maintaining high level service.  You?ll have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  When asked, former employers will describe you as prompt and courteous while having the ability to solve complex networking and computer-related issues.

Standard Requirements:

?  2 ? 5 years in a professional / corporate environment

?  Valid driver?s license and dependable transportation

?  Accredited college degree ( 2 to 4 years) or technical education

 

Successful candidates must be knowledgeable of:

?  MS Office 2000 / XP / 2003

?  PC/server Hardware & terminology

?  MS Windows 2003/2000/NT/XP/9x

?  MS Exchange 2003/2000

?  Active Directory

?  Veritas Backup Exec 10/9/8

?  Trend Micro Corporate antivirus

?  Symantec Corporate antivirus

?  Ethernet network topology

 

The successful candidate will have:

?   2 - 5 years of proven experience administering a LAN/WAN - TCP/IP environment using Windows 2000 and 2003, including MS Exchange

?  Experience with design, implementation, and migration to a new production Win2K domain w/ Active Directory

?  Experience migrating from WinNT4.0/Exchange 5.5. to Win2K/2003, Exchange 2000/2003

?  Backup and Recovery of Windows and Exchange 2000/2003

?  Experience managing LAN/WAN connectivity through maintenance and troubleshooting of routers, switches, hubs, network cards, and dial up networking

?  Configured and deployed Cisco switches as well as Cisco routers

?  Configured and deployed a Cisco PIX, Sonicwall, Netscreen, or other type hardware firewall into a production environment

?  Working knowledge of Internet email (smtp, mx records and dns  troubleshooting)

?  Working knowledge of DNS, Internet Infrastructure, and IP informational tools

?  Thorough knowledge of Desktop Operating Systems - Windows NT/2000/XP, prior migration experience highly preferred

?  Experience rebuilding servers and workstations

?  Understanding of (T1, E1, ISDN, 56K, Pots) circuits

?  Experience with pushing out applications with group policy

 

Certifications Preferred:

?  Microsoft MCSE

?  MCP

?  A+

? Cisco
