Salary/Wage: Mid $40K Range + Bonus + Expenses + Mileage Allowance + Full Benefits

Company and Job Overview:

Fast growing Honolulu-based systems integration company is seeking a Field Service Technician to support Windows-based networks for small business clients, including preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation planning/coordination and customer support.  We provide services that include help desk, outsourcing, application development, systems integration and other maintenance and support services.

 

This career opportunity requires strong PC skills, Networking knowledge and excellent customer relationship skills.  The Field Service Technician has ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customer?s satisfaction and or in compliance with agreed upon Service Level Agreements.  Required documentation is to be completed and submitted on a daily basis. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:

- Working on a team that will provide phone and field support for customer networks

- Install software and hardware both remotely and at customer location

- Perform preventative maintenance on servers and workstations

- Produce documentation and provide training for the end user relating to the products we install

- Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues in conjunction with other vendors as needed

- Install and maintain neat, labeled and orderly wiring for workstation and communication closets

- Respond to phone calls in a timely manner during working hours and when on-call

- Maintain all customer and company Information Technology standards

- Follow through on work orders within established service level agreements

- Maintain time records, ticket tracking and other customer documentation in real-time

- Able to work after hours, weekends and on-call as needed

- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: 

- High degree of knowledge with computer hardware, software and networking

- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills

- Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work with little supervision

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

- A+ certification and/or Associates Degree Preferred

- 2-4 years experience in computer system support

- Must be proficient with all mainstream Microsoft products

- Position requires bending, stooping and climbing on a frequent basis and ability to lift 50 lbs.

- Must have valid drivers license and own car for use in traveling and transporting equipment

- VB/.Net/Web programming or scripting a plus

 

Working Conditions:

-Occasionally required to work in warehouse/non-office environments

-Position requires travel and, depending on client, neighbor island trips.

-Days of the week and hours worked may vary to accommodate workload or projects.
