IT Coordinator

Summary Installs, configures, and troubleshoots hardware and software for local area computer networks and associated assemblies by performing the following duties.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Installs and upgrades software and hardware.

 

Installs telecom hardware and software.

 

Performs move/add/delete for telephone users/hardware etc.

 

Performs after-hour - on-call support as needed.

 

Provide telephone support.

 

Responds to all user requests, logs desktop calls and escalates call to Network Administrator.

 

Installs Windows OS on both server and workstations.

 

Performs PC hardware and printer installation as well as other periferals.

 

Supports remote users.

 

Installs/Configures MS Exchange.

 

Familiarity with active directory server.

 

Familiarity with CISCO routers/firewall.

Education and/or Experience  

 

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; plus two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

 

Language Skills  

 

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 

 

 

Mathematical Skills  

 

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

 

Reasoning Ability

 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

 

Computer Skills  

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Design software; Development software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Inventory software; Payroll systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

 

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

 

MCSE certification a plus; CCNA certification or experience with Cisco a plus;
