With emphasis on E-Commerce driving key business strategies the need for information Security Management has never been greater. To meet current and future business challenges Information Security Solutions must reflect a sophisticated balance of architecture design, network and system configuration, Internet and Intranet technology and best practice process development and management. Security is a key business enabler and this position is accountable for helping the HP businesses achieve their business objectives securely. This position blends technical expertise and relationship management skills to support the HP Businesses in planning and implementing effective protective measures over their systems, networks and applications. A key focus is to assist HP businesses in becoming more aware of the security issues associated with their business processing environments so that creative, cost sensitive ways of protecting and sharing information assets can be established. Breadth of expertise and experience and the ability to analyze and recommend security solutions at both the macro and micro levels.




Your Profile

Post secondary education in Information Systems or related field of studies. At least 7 years experience in MIS. Knowledge and experience in the design of security options for various processors. Solid understanding of network security issues and the various controls that mitigate against risks associated with internal and external communication links. Experience with encryption, digital certificates, security for network protocols and controls for Internet and distributed processing. Experience with internal and external partners. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Strong consulting skills. Leadership qualities: integrity, attention to detail, deadline oriented, goal oriented and a motivator. Ability to interface with all levels of staff. Ability to interface with all levels in clients organization.  Experience with UNIX based environments is required.
