Information Services Manager (Computer Services)

 

The City of Fresno is currently recruiting applicants for Information Services Manager.  The incumbent directs information technology functions including long range planning, program development, quality control, office systems, computer operations, and enhancement of information systems and services. One vacancy currently exists in the Computer Services Division of the Information Services Department.

 

THE REQUIREMENTS 

 

Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications on or before the posted final filing date in order to qualify.  TO QUALIFY, an applicant must have:  Four years of professional information services experience, which included, one year in a lead or supervisory capacity AND graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor?s degree in information systems, industrial technology, computer science, business administration or related field. 

 

Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Class ?C? California Driver?s License at time of appointment.

SELECTION PROCESS

 

The selection process may consist of the following: 



 

APPLICATION REVIEW - QUALIFYING ONLY 

Applications and resumes which meet the minimum qualifications may be submitted to an Application Review Panel.  The panel will select a limited number of the most qualified candidates for a final interview with the appointing authority.  Selection of the most qualified candidates will be based upon those applications and resumes which demonstrate the greatest breadth and depth of applicable education, experience, skills and training.  Therefore, applicants are urged to submit sufficiently detailed information in their application materials for a proper evaluation.

 

Those candidates who are recommended for further consideration will be scheduled for an interview with appointing authorities.
