Information Technology Specialist

We are currently searching for a Information Technology Specialist to support our internal IT needs for McLean, Koehler, Sparks & Hammond at our three office locations (Frederick, Hunt Valley, & Columbia). This integral position is responsible for help desk and troubleshooting of the firm?s hardware and software and insuring the reliability of user?s IT tools through hardware and software maintenance and repair. Job Functions (include, but are not limited to):

? General help-desk support for all users

? Repair and maintain PC?s in the three firm offices

? Train MKS&H staff in both individual and group sessions

? Perform software/hardware updates in the three firm offices

? Maintain tape back-up procedures

? Maintain firm software licensing; record and catalog firm software; maintain supply inventory of all IT related items; inventory equipment / diagram networks

? Prepare and file department purchase orders

? Prepare communication on issues such as ? e-mail, telephones, remote access and the Internet

? Design custom reports

? Courier mail between the offices

 

Qualified candidates will possess:Minimum of a high school diploma, bachelor?s degree in related field strongly preferred; industry certification preferred1+ year of experience in IT consulting/managementExcellent communication skillsAbility and willingness to travel to and work from the three firm offices on a rotating or as-needed basisAbility to multi-task, prioritize and follow up consistently and timelyAbility to work independently High degree of initiative and a passion for technologyAbility to lift 50 pounds
