Internal Control System (ICS) Operator

The purpose of this position is to ensure that the monitoring system has processed all lottery terminal transactions properly.  It also provides a basis of providing information to the Lottery (reports, data files, etc.), assist in the daily operations of computer systems and reporting hardware problems; and assisting in the recovery activities necessary to restore normal operations.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

? Perform system processes daily, including:

? Change tapes each week and maintain tape library

? Manually copying files from Vendor System to Lottery when needed

? Taking appropriate action when problems or questions develop by notifying appropriate staff

? Checking for any report out-of-balances

?Entering and submitting daily sales numbers into appropriate system

? Monitor system operation

? Assist in the daily operation of monitoring system

? Carry out all tasks on the daily checklist

? Generate required reports.  Assist in verifying the validity and clarity of computer reports and other output before release

 

Qualifications:  Two year technical college degree or comparable experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job. 

 

This is an hourly paid position.  (Job Band  4: $39,000-$59,000 annually based on a 40 hour work week) This position requires the individual to work an alternative work schedule.  Current schedule is from 4pm-4am and is subject to change at management?s discretion.
