Job Title: Systems Analyst - J2EE Architect

 

Job Description:
Design and develop moderate to complex cost-effective J2EE solutions.
Provide insight, direction and leadership in the design and development of J2EE solutions.
Develop standards and guidelines to be used in the design and development of J2EE solutions.
Self motivated to learn new technologies/processes and introduce into our current development standards/guidelines the technologies/processes with proven incremental value.
May coordinate the activities of a project team, including all tasks of an SDLC, in the role of project leader. Works with business users and IT to define and document requirements.
Approximately 5% travel, some overnight. Occasional weekend work.

 Required:
Minimum of 4 years experience in the development of J2EE solutions.
Minimum of 2 years experience in the design of enterprise applications with demonstrated design elements such as:

a. use of best practices

b.  maintainability

c. extensibility

d.  reusability
Demonstrated excellence in communication skills, both written and oral, from a business and technical perspective.
Strong ability to work in a team oriented environment.
B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. Preferred:
UML modeling.
Skilled J2EE (EJB, Servlet, JSP, JNDI, JDBC, JMS, Java Mail, JAXB), Web Service, Service Oriented Architecture, WebSphere Application Server, MQ Series, IBM IDE (WSAD).
Database: Experience in developing systems using DB2 or other relational databases. Strong understanding of database design/modeling.

 

 Desirable

MQ Workflow, Websphere Portal Server, Sun Certified Enterprise Architect (SCEA), Sun Certified Developer (SCJD).
