Job Summary:
Assembles, disassembles, and tests computer systems, components and peripherals.  Assists in performing standard tests and runs diagnostic software on equipment to conduct functional and operational test to evaluate performance and reliability of product.  Recording of electrical and/or mechanical testing of equipemnt and initiates replacement of components, which fail to meet acceptable operating standards.  All work is done at our facility.

 

Requirements:Will be using an internal test bed. Using multimeters and oscilloscope. Very in-tuned with inner workings of a laptop /compact. Works with entire laptop not just the board. Added ability to use entire test bed (product). Must have strong experience repairing laptop Mother boards. Repair boards without the use of schematics. A+ Certification and/or training a plus! Experience in a repair environment with an emphasis in system boards and LCD?s. Excellent communication skills, good team member, able to work independently. Reasonable soldering experience is preferred.

 

Job Details:

Location: Simi Valley CA 93063 

*  Must be able to work DAY shifts: Either 7:00-4:00 or 8:00-5:00 or 9:00-6:00, Monday-Friday with potential OT and Saturdays.

DESKTOP/SYSTEM BOARD REPAIR TECHNICIAN

(COMPONENT LEVEL REPAIRS)

SIMI VALLEY, CA

 

 

 Please Note:  This is not an IT/IS - Systems nor Network position.

 

 

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidates for this position must have current computer repair experience.  This repair technician position is only for someone who is very comfortable with the actual repairing of PC Motherboards.

 

Essential Functions:

? Capable to conduct functions and operations tests to evaluate performance and reliability of computer hardware, systems, peripherals and PCBs down to the component level.

? Experience using Multimeter and Oscilloscope.

? Familiar with the set up of a Mother Boards for testing and troubleshooting (ICs, Memory,  Heat sinks, Power supplies, etc)

? Able to repair boards without the usage of schematics

? Associates degree on electronics (or equivalent) is preferred

? Perform solder/desolder operations as directed.

 

 Job Qualifications:

 Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years? related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
