Multimedia Terminal Adapter Specialist

 

The successful candidate will be capable of performing a variety of complex and technical functions including designing, testing and installing network software and hardware, with a successful track record completing complex network engineering projects.

 

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:Analyze systems to determine effectiveness and inefficiencies and make recommendations for improvements. Analyze production or development problems to determine whether they are caused by network software.Strong customer service skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Provide technical support for the internal customer support teams.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 2-3 years experience with cable modulation profiles (QPSK, QAM) and HFC quality metrics (Bit Error Rates, Signal to Noise Ratios, Carrier to Noise Ratios, etc. Understanding of DOCSIS 1.0, 1.1 and PacketCable Provisioning Experience with VoIP signaling protocols including both PacketCable and SIP initiatives (MGCP/NCS, TGCP SIP, SIP-T, ISTP, CMSS, etc), protocols (TFTP file creationVoIP signalling protocols (MGCP/NCS, SIP/DCS)cable modulation profiles (QPSK, QAM), channel widths, etc VoIP Enterprise, and IP Centrex experience a plus 2-3 years experience with Media servers, MTA's and CMTS and PSTN and Interconnects
