Qualification Requirements: Minimum Education:  Bachelor Degree

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years



Required Experience:

MS 2003 Sever Administration -- would be helpful to have experience with MS Clusters, XP/2000 experience SQL Server experience -- light DBA skills, Experience with Linux/Red Hat, Veritas experience, Would be a bonus to have experience with VB, Progress and IBM MQ Series.  Strong troubleshooting skills

Desired experience:

Knowledge: Knowledge of IBM MQ Series database running in a clustered environment. Experience with MQ Series for database maintenance, Microsoft Network Administration, Minor PC Maintenance, Wireless Network, Troubleshoot and maintain servers. Knowledge of business applications a plus.  Experience supporting MQ Series applications in a high tech environment. Experience with MQ Series workflow design and implementation a plus.

Analytical/Interpersonal Skills: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self Starter, Ability to work without supervision on short term projects. Excellent Telephone skills, Knowledge of troubleshooting using vendors. Willingness to travel for training and short-term assignments.



? Will also develop reports and custom requests for users.

? Assist with application and user support when needed.

? Project Management

? System tuning, performance monitoring and database maintenance.

 

Responsibilities:

? This position will be responsible for maintaining the MQ Series database and other applications.  Will require both technical level experience and ability to interface with all levels of users. This position will also require user support as needed.

?  Monitor MQ Series for broadcasts.

? Work with Freedom on Launch (Freedom setup) and on an ongoing basis to insure continual interface takes place.

?  PC maintenance/troubleshooting

?  Coordinate programming/testing activity with suppliers and vendors (TTI, Freedom, etc.)

?  Implement Disaster Recovery plan per MBUSI requirements.

? Update hardware and software as needed.

 

Scope of Authority: Has the authority to shut down computers/servers for repairs and/or upgrades.

 

  Has the authority to stop production if defective or unsafe parts or condition appear.  Has the authority to reject non-conforming material from the supplier.  Is empowered to prevent non-conforming material from reaching the customer
