General Description:
An Operations Desk Analyst takes full responsibility for proactively watching, analyzing, ticketing, and routing Oracle Application and system related problems before they impact a Client. The analyst shall report to the Operations Desk Manager.
Essential Functions:
The analyst shall be responsible for: Timely monitoring and responding to: the Applications Management System (AMS) alarm displays ?operations desk? mailbox for client requests. Providing timely first line problem isolation and Ticket Entry upon alarm or client notification. Prioritizing concurrent issues to meet client satisfaction and service level agreement commitments. Assigning tasks to appropriate technicians based on skill-set matching, expected/required resolution date, and technician schedule and workload. Continuously updating technical and procedural documentation based on increasing productivity and client satisfaction for both unique and repetitive situations.
The analyst is responsible for suggesting enhancements to, and performing, daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance procedures as defined in the operational guides and standard procedures of the Operations Desk. In addition, Senior Managers and Line Managers may assign ad-hoc requests and tasks as needed in support of related servers and applications and client needs.
Education/Experience Requirements:1 to 3 years experience in a Technical Support or Help Desk environment a plusDemonstrated technical and client communication skills (written and verbal); sound judgment, and ability to efficiently handle a variety of client situations. Skilled and comfortable with ERP Systems experience in a Technical Support or Help Desk environment.
Minimum BS or equivalent
Career Path:
Core fully expects the appropriate candidate to advance within 6 to 24 months into a position as an associate DBA, UNIX SA, or Network Administrator.
