PC / LAN Support Specialist II
PC/LAN Support Specialist
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
?Install, maintain, and troubleshoot IP telephony, Phone and Voicemail
?Manage, maintain and support an Avaya PBX system. Tasks to include voice mail setup, phone extension creation, adds, moves and changes
?Ability to work with end users to investigate and resolve Hardware and software issues while ensuring customer satisfaction
? Maintain a high degree of professional communications with internal customers and company executives regarding the use and implementation of telephony and network services and systems
?Assist with help desk call handling and trouble resolution
? Administer/maintain end user accounts, permission, access rights and security policy standards
? When necessary, perform server upgrades, maintenance, installation, backup and server management (OS, patch level, drive space, etc.)
? Provide LAN and Domain support?including troubleshooting TCP/IP problems, WINS, DNS and NT Domain Servers
? Support users of Audio/Video conferencing equipment
? Perform routine audits on workstations to assure virus and service pack readiness
? Provide full-time PC software support. Tasks will include installation, removal and configuration of multiple types of industry standard and custom software
? Create and maintain software installation images
? Access the Internet to obtain hardware and software updates
? Must be able to work independently and as a team
? Local travel may be necessary; some evening and weekend work required
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
?Training in at least two of the following: CCNA, MCSC, Network + (Certification not required, but preferred)
?5-8 years full-time experience with personal computers.
?5-8 years experience providing primary support for PC, LAN, and IP network environment
?5-8 years full-time experience in a networking/domain environment
?Knowledge of MS Office 2000/2003, Internet Explorer, Windows 95-XP
?Must possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
?Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment
?Desire to provide excellent customer service
