Project Engineer

Microsoft Gold Dealer looking for:

 

Job Purpose:

Maintains computing environment by providing onsite hardware and software system support; identifying system improvements; upgrading, installing, and configuring systems; monitoring system performance.



Duties:

* Enhances staff accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members; teaching improved processes; mentoring team members.



* Identifies system improvements by evaluating system performance.



* Provides answers to clients by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding client through corrective steps.



* Upgrades system performance by tuning and configuring the system.



* Improves system by conferring with vendors and services; testing, evaluating, and installing new software.



* Maintains system performance by defining development tools and procedures.



* Protects system information by preparing and testing disaster recovery procedures.



* Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.



* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.



* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.



* Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.



Skills/Qualifications:

Strong backgorund in Microsoft, Cisco, and SAN technology, Novell a plus, Network Maintenance, Networking Standards, Network Performance Tuning, System Administration, Process Improvement, Developing Standards, Analyzing Information, Network Troubleshooting, Customer Focus, Technical Documentation, Quality Focus
