SAP Business Analyst - HR
The focus of this position will be centered around the business area of HR (Human Resource).
Experience with SAP R/3 HR (Human Resources) is required. Other modules would be highly desired include: QM ( Quality Management),MM (Materials Management), PP( Production Planning) and PM ( Plant Maintenance). Strong organizational & communication skills are also necessary.
Experience with light ABAP programming is highly desirable.
Other nice to haves are experience with SD related EDI / IDOCs, SD related internet transactions, webMethods software & imaging / archiving concepts.
This is a permanent, salaried position in the Irvine, CA based office.
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To supply first class support, and aid in the improvement of company's application environment by providing skills in process re-engineering, new application development, project management, and practical business knowledge. Plan, organize and conduct detailed studies to define problems, identify deficiencies and improve solutions which impact the company's effectiveness, and provide the basis for management decision.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Supports the company user community through a variety of methods including; troubleshooting, knowledge sharing, and training.
2. Performs necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation to determine project feasibility.
3. Helps to develop project cost / benefit estimates to establish project value including the development of alternative considerations leading to recommendations for modifications or new implementations.
4. Advises appropriate company employees on the ability of existing systems to be applied to solve a problem.
5. Receives only general supervision and performs routine duties independently.
6. Discusses or seeks approval on complex matters from Business Application Supervisor.
7. Helps estimate resource needs for analysts, programmers, internal personnel, consultants, equipment, etc.
8. Assists in the development of time schedules, conversions, and test procedures for all aspects of system, from manual handling through computer processing.
9. Recommends IT equipment needed for solution of the problem.
10. Modifies systems designs to take maximum advantage of existing equipment resources.
11. Analyzes charts and/or diagrams of the problem to be programmed and defines system requirements in terms of equipment capabilities.
12. Aids Business Application Supervisor in planning the full range of programming actions needed to achieve desired end-results on complex problems.
13. Checks, instructs, assigns work, and otherwise functionally directs external consultants as appropriate.
14. Performs programming activities as required.
