SAP Resource Planner

PURPOSE OF POSITION Develop and maintain SAP networks. Maintain resource plans for all projects and long range opportunities. Support the Project Managers with SAP network maintenance and updates.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance) *
o Implement the standards contained in the Westinghouse "Codes of Business Ethics & Conduct and Defense Industry Initiatives". Insure that all employees reporting to this position are informed about the standards and related policies, and enforce them within this supervised activity.
1. Review and analyze proposals, request for quotations, purchase orders, contracts, historical data, costing models, and determine specific requirements for creation of SAP networks to perform project execution.
2. Communicate resource plans with Operations Managers, Department Managers and Project Managers and input into SAP.
3. Provide resource updates and help resolve resource shortages, overloads and overlaps.
4. Assist the Project Manager with project schedule development.
5. Support safety, security and ALARA issues in support of the Project Manager and PCI goals.
6. Support Project Manager with SAP issues and network maintenance.
7. Perform audit functions to the SAP networks to ensure the networks are being maintained as required for resource planning, invoicing, etc.
8. Coordinate network turnover to the Project Manager and support pre-job reviews as requested by the Project Manager.
9. Review post project costs, billings, and attends post project meetings for comparison between planned and actual costs in support of Project Manager.
10. Analyze post review data and lessons learned for improving SAP standards.
11. Develop and maintain SAP standards to support proposal development.
12. Support the SAP PQS processes.
13. Develop reports, graphs and charts to support resource planning and all departments.
14. Maintain SAP data quality for PCI networks and resource plans.
15. Assist in the development and completion of the 24-month PCI planning process.
At the discretion of management, this position may require travel. This position is subject to the requirements of PCI, Westinghouse and customer security, unescorted access and fitness for duty programs.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
I. KNOWLEDGE
a. Describe the knowledge required to perform the major responsibilities.
o Familiarity and ability using SAP is essential
o Understanding of general business concepts and practices
o Personnel planning and scheduling skills and philosophy
o Computer proficiency in spreadsheets, graphics, word processing, scheduling tools (Excel, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Microsoft Project, etc.)
o Understanding of the technical aspects of the Nuclear Industry and the services PCI provides
o Effective communication skills and teamwork
o Self directed work ethic
b. Identify specialized education and/or experience requirements.
Bachelor's degree in a Business discipline from an accredited college or equivalent or a combination of education and five (5) years work experience. Experience in the Power Industry preferred, business disciplines, planning and scheduling and Project Management
c. Describe any licenses and/or certificates required.
II. PROBLEM SOLVING
Describe the most difficult problems(s) that must be solved. Indicate the amount of research and creativity required for determining solutions.
o Interpret project proposal and purchase order documents to determine which activities are applicable for SAP network development and understand scope for initial resource planning.
o Involve other departments in resource identification and allocation to support projects with the appropriately qualified personnel.
o Develop communication methods to resolve issues and reach acceptable resolution.

The ability to apply basic Engineering principles and techniques to resolve clearly defined technical problems. The successful person will have the ability to work in a team atmosphere as well as independently.
