Senior Business Analyst

Millbrook Distribution Services is one of the nation's largest distributors of Health and Beauty Care, General Merchandise and Specialty Food products to over 10,000 customers nation wide.  We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst. 

 

Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer the Senior Business Analyst (SBA) acts as an advocate for the users in all systems related activities in partnership with Application Development. The SBA functions within the context and reinforces best business practices for the company at all times.  He/She works cooperatively with the user community and Application Development to support business goals and objectives using broad knowledge of the business and systems and technology.

 

The SBA assumes responsibility for the outcome of assigned projects and is responsible for:

 

?  The all analysis and requirements activities to support business system needs

 

?  Ensuring that the system solution complies with the approved functional requirements

 

?  Creation of an approved Functional Requirements document

 

?  Recommending a build and/or buy a application solution to meet business needs

 

?  Participate in software selection, vendor negotiations, and a review a vendor deliverables

 

?  Creation of an approved User Acceptance Test plan

 

?  Maintain an awareness of evolving business and systems practices

 

The ideal candidate will have a BA in Computer Technology Sciences with 5-7 years of related experience.  The ideal candidate must have good organization skills with the proven ability to effectively prioritize time and projects.  A background in retail/wholesale is an added bonus.
