Senior Lead System Designer

GE HCIITS Imaging Solutions is looking for a Senior Lead Systems Designer (LSD) who is motivated by the challenge of driving Imaging Solution's newest Products and Technologies to market. The Senior Lead Systems Designer leads large scale, global program teams to deliver the technical content, performance, intellectual property and quality deliverables of a NPI program. The Senior LSD drives the architecture, vision and design requirements across the participating products, typically leading and coordinating efforts with contributing Lead System Designers to balance implementation complexity, manufacturability, serviceability and quality. The Senior LSD must understand and ensure the capture the user needs into system requirements. The Senior LSD is responsible for the architectural decomposition and allocation to subsystems/components across all participating products. The Senior LSD ensures that the quality targets are satisfied and retires technical risks as they arise on the program.

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Minimum 7 years progressive experience as an engineer or scientist within the appropriate field of study to include min 5 years experience in project leadership within a manufacturing, development or research environment.* 4-year degree in Engineering/Science within an appropriate discipline or equivalent. * Strategic technical planner and thinker with ability to drive architecture/platform/technology deliverables into the product roadmap to ensure competitive differentiation. Excellent understanding of how the product contributes to business financial return. * Demonstrated competency to work with technical leadership team to implement the product, platform/sub-system multi-generation technology plan for a specific release of a global program/product. * Practical experience in balancing and optimizing engineering process rigor with product delivery priorities. Demonstrability ability to champion process improvement and teamwork optimizations. * Demonstrated consistent curiosity for solving segment and patient/customer problems and differentiating the product thru innovative and creative technology solutions. Skilled at technology evaluation and assessment. * Excellent patient/customer communication and interaction skills with the ability to communicate vision/strategy, work through technical issues, as well as address questions associated with competitive differentiation. * Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and trade-off technical risk while balancing product CTQs, cross-functional impact, features, quality, platform and program goals.

Desired:
* GE Healthcare product development process experience and NPI /PRD product development/design experience * Prior experience in healthcare IT industry * Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certified preferred
