Senior Manager EAI, Database, SAP Basis & Middleware Services

TransTech is looking for a Senior Manager EAI, Database, SAP Basis & Middleware Services.  This is a permanent position.

 

The EAI, Database, SAP Basis and Middleware Services Manager is accountable for the delivery, quality and improvement of the world wide services provided by EAI, Database Middleware services contracted between the client and its outsourcing supplier.  Management of and interaction with the supplier, the EAI, Database and Middleware Services Manager insures that all services meet contracted services levels within agreed upon prices. The manager is accountable for the operations and technical support of the EAI, Middleware and Database Services by the supplier and reviews and approves transformation plans for this technology. This position regularly meets with the supplier to monitor performance and correct deficiencies in the services provided and insure geographic standardization of services, technology and support globally.

The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of EAI, database, SAP Basis and Middleware technologies.  The candidate needs to work with an IT service provider to ensure delivery objectives are met and jointly develop and facilitate the implementation of specific product roadmaps and service delivery capabilities.  Working with the client CTO and IT service provider, the candidate must be able to drive the orderly retirement of legacy disinvest products and develop ongoing maintenance releases for products that are regarded as a maintain or invest status.  The candidate must be able to identify and facilitate implementation of specific continuous improvement activities that deliver business value.

The candidate must be able to develop, enhance and expand internal and external relationships that are well regarded and be able to work with business stakeholders to design meaningful work processes with the new service provider and to assure that the business stakeholders accept and endorse the new processes.  The candidate will need to have a good understanding of the ITSM framework and will need to work closely with the other ITSM disciplines to ensure adherence to ITSM processes. The job requires a team player that can self-start in difficult service environments and can successfully lead change throughout the organization.

Additional Job Information:
-Manage day-to day relationship with supplier.
-Conduct regular service reviews; manage and audit supplier performance and productivity relative to service levels of the EAI, Database, SAP Basis and Middleware services.
-Interface with financial management to analyze performance outcomes for performance credits/earn-backs within the EAI, Database, SAP Basis and Middleware services.
-Manage business stakeholder relationship to supplier; regularly communicate supplier performance to business unit stakeholders.
-Manage business stakeholder demand internally and interface to supplier.
-Manage supplier response to business stakeholder demand.
-Monitor user satisfaction and provide remediation regarding EAI, Database, SAP Basis and Middleware services.
-Reconcile projected resource baseline with actual utilization.
-Perform capacity and demand planning with supplier and PMO-Forecast customer demand for all in-scope and new services.  Coordinate services, projects, and plans within business unit(s) to ensure priorities are addressed.
-Review and monitor supplier operations and technical support processes for EAI, Database, SAP Basis and Middleware services
-Responsible for driving product retirement objectives and identifying continual improvement opportunities.
-As operational problems occur, review supplier recovery and permanent fix plans.
-Provide early warning to business unit executives regarding degrading or missed service level.
-Insure technical and operational standardization of EAI, Database and Middleware globally.

Organizational relationships

-Daily interaction with GIS Functions, particularly GDC, CTO, CAM, AS, Finance, Governance functions.
-Regular interaction with Business Unit management to communicate service status, results and problems.
-Regular interaction with GIS senior management to review approaches and status.
-Daily interaction with the IT service provider for project alignment, approach, process designs and issue resolution.

Experiences, Competencies, Abilities
-General/Basic Background in Functional Area ? 10+ years
-Strategic-level knowledge of IT capabilities and technologies; hands-on practical knowledge of implementation and rollout issues ? 5+ years
-Experience in leading change and enforcing related disciplines ? 3+ years
-Understanding of ITIL/ITSM ? 1+ year
-Strong project management disciplines.
-Collaborative skills that are result driven.
-Strong understanding of IT industry in both applications and infrastructure
-Business management - ability to translate IT into business value/risk/language
